Research Scholarships

Research scholarships (research fellowship, PhD, postdoctoral) are available to post-graduate researchers in all disciplines (with a master’s degree being the minimum qualification required) who are planning to come to Switzerland to conduct research or pursue studies at the doctoral or postdoctoral level.

Research scholarships are awarded for research or study at all Swiss cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences, the two federal institutes of technology, as well as the four research institutes. Only candidates nominated by an academic supervisor at one of these higher education institutions will be considered.

Art Scholarships

Art scholarships are open to art students wishing to pursue a first master's degree in the arts in Switzerland.

Art scholarships are awarded for studies at any Swiss conservatory or university of the arts. This scholarship is available only to students from selected countries.

Duration:

✅ PhD: 12-36 months
✅ Post-doc: 12 months
✅ Researcher: 12 months

Funding:

✅ Monthly allowance: up to 3500 CHF
✅ Mandatory Swiss health insurance
✅ Lump sum for return ticket
