PhD Programs - Afro-Canadian Scholarships | One Health
Candidates interested in the One Health approach can benefit from the Afro-Canadian Scholarships to pursue a PhD program at the University of Montreal. The program also offers complementary training in entrepreneurship and leadership, as well as support for career reintegration upon returning to the home country.

PhD Program Highlights:
- Mandatory Start: Fall 2025
- Mandatory End: Before August 31, 2029
- Years 1 and 2: Coursework and comprehensive exam at the University of Montreal
- Years 3 and 4: Data collection, thesis writing, and defense in the home country
Funding includes:
✔️ Round-trip airfare (economy class)
✔️ Reimbursement of immigration and medical examination fees
✔️ Full coverage of tuition fees
✔️ Monthly subsistence allowance
✔️ Local transportation and clothing allowance
✔️ Health insurance and reimbursement for mandatory books
Participation Conditions by Country:
Candidates must demonstrate their ability to work on one of the proposed doctoral research projects in their country.
